The water current shortage in the Grove/ Diamond area has been caused by voltage fluctuation and nothing else.
This was according to the Assistant Public Relations Officer of the Guyana Water Incorporated, Ms. Fredericks.
Fredericks assured that the situation is getting the attention of Division (East Bank Demerara) Operations Manager, Christine Thompson, who is working closely with the Guyana Power and Light to ensure the situation is normalised as soon as possible. Fredericks assured that the situation is being dealt with.
Kaieteur News understands that as of yesterday morning, some residents have been getting water but slowly.
Over the past few days, the water had stopped flowing from the taps and residents said when it “started to come” again, it was “drip, drip”.
