Dear Editor,
I, Yogaswar Persaud, attained the age of 60 years on April 25, 2011 and am receiving a meagre and minimal pension of $16,608. I am not satisfied because I have worked hard and was able to contribute to the N.I.S a total 1568 contributions of which I have a copy which I uplifted from N.I.S office Camp Street Branch.
As such I wrote to the P.R.0 some time last year and have not received a reply as yet. I decided to write the pension section on 18/11/2011. I supplied a photocopy of my contribution, asking the N.I.S authority to show me what criteria they used to arrive at that amount.
What I would like to know is what is taking so long for a reply from the relevant authority? This is leading me to believe that the N.I.S authority does not seem to know what they are about.
How could a contributor have trust in the National insurance Scheme? I have not received a reply from any of the personnel of N.I.S that I have written to. Yogaswar Persaud
