Organisers of the Circus of Dreams show being held at the Guyana National Stadium, Providence, say that they have offered full refunds to patrons who were affected by rains Friday night.
“We would like to inform those patrons who left early on Friday night and have in their possession their ticket stubs, that they can either choose to use those tickets for either Saturday or Sunday night or be refunded in full on Monday,” a statement from public relations company, GuyEnterprise, said yesterday.
“However, we would like to encourage those persons and the general public to come out on Saturday and Sunday night so that they do not miss the opportunity of seeing an internationally renowned Circus perform here in Guyana at a fraction of the usual cost.”
Heavy rains Friday evening left hundreds of the patrons wet as there were no tents under which the show was kept.
“Due to circumstances beyond our control, there was not sufficient provision made to shelter the large numbers of persons who turned out to see the Circus. We would like to assure all Guyanese that this problem has been rectified and we have placed several large tents at the venue that will adequately cover patrons if there is any rain today (Saturday) or tomorrow (Sunday).”
The circus is a collaboration between GT&T, GuyEnterprise and Link Up Media.
“For the majority of patrons who remained to see the entire show, we are grateful for your understanding and we are sure that you will support us in encouraging others to come out and see what was a truly spectacular performance,” the statement continued.
