After a collision with a blue Allion heading west on Mandela Avenue yesterday,

two parked cars sustained costly damages.
According to James Dean, Company Secretary attached to Guyana Stores Limited, one of the parked vehicles belonged to his company.
He added that “the driver had to have fallen asleep for an accident like this to happen at that hour of the night.”
The incident is believed to have occurred about 0:15 hours, waking up the family in the house. Dean continued that after he came outside, the driver of the Allion explained that a car was overtaking him and he had lost control.
Dean stated that the driver went to Ruimveldt Police Station with an insurance representative. Traffic Police declined to provide any information on the incident.
