A pulsating and action pack day of racing is anticipated as most of the top stables have submitted their entries and has vowed to dominate the proceedings when the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facilities (RCMTC&SF) and Ansa McAl Guyana limited stage the grand one day Keep fit horses race meet slated for tomorrow at the Club’s track Alness Corentyne Berbice.
Most of the stables were rounding out their training as preparation climaxed for the big one day Horses race meet. A look at some of the entries revealed the Asrafalli Stables on the Upper Corentyne, which has been on the improve after every meet, leads the way with some seven entries and among them are Prado’s Gold, Gold Plated, Red cloud, Cutting Crystal, Foolish Pleasure and Its my time, and they will be looking to make it their time at the races.
The Elcock stables, which will be on their home ground, will be looking for a good outing at home. They have some four horses entered and with the likes of the veteran Delmur Gold, Momzelle, Face the Music and Miracle Run not looking for a miracle but to dominate on home turf.
The Sheriff stables on the West Coast of Berbice, which has been one of the newest and hottest entities on the block with placings at every meet, has been on the improving and with four entries will be looking for another champion ship performance. Their charge will be led by Dubai Duchess, Zelona, Majestic and Damascus Dream.
The Habibulla stables will be looking to seize the initiative early with The Bailiff and Dream Girl looking for a dream performance.
The Jagdeo stable will be hoping to celebrate with Celebrating Love and Bio Fuel as they look to outlast their opponents.
The Jumbo Jet Chattergoon stables will be resting most of their animals but will still be represented and among those going will be South Sea. The Grey Stable has Funny Sided and Infinity, while other horses like Work Force and Apostle of the Nelson stable has been in good form at work out over the week and will be looking to make their mark.
With over 50 horses entered the other animals will be looking to make their mark against the season campaigners thus a top notch day of racing is anticipated.
The top race for the day is for the horses classified E1 & Lower which is sponsored by Ansa McAl Guyana Limited with the winner set to take $300,000 and trophy over 1200M.
The 3yrs old race for Guyana and West Indies Bred Horses classified G1 and lower over 1200M is for a top prize of $250,000 and trophy.
The G1 & Lower race is another 1200M event with winnings set at $200,000 and trophy.
The first two year old event is for Horses Bred and Born in Guyana and the West Indies with the winning prize set at $200,000 and trophy also over 1200M.
The second two year old race is for Guyana Bred horses with the winner getting $170,000 and trophy over 1100M.
The H3 & Lower event has a winning purse of $170,000 with the distance being 1200M.
There is a race for I1with the pole position taking being $140,000 and is another 1200M event.
The final event planned for the day is for horses classified J, K&L with first prize of $70,000 and also over 1200M.
Top individual performers including champion and runner up Jockeys, top stable and trainers will be presented with accolades compliments of Businessman Ramesh Sunich of the Trophy Stall Bourda Market and the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facilities. Race time is 13:00 hrs.
