Family and close friends yesterday said their farewell to 35-year-old Tessa Romascindo who was hacked to death by her husband of 22 years.
A post mortem was done on Friday last and the body was handed over to the relatives for burial. According to the post mortem the woman died as a result of shock and hemorrhage due to multiple incise wounds.
Meanwhile, up to press time yesterday the woman’s husband, Seonarine Deonarine, was still not located. The relatives said that no one has heard or seen from him since the day of the incident.
On Tuesday, Romascindo was chopped to death at her home, in ‘Rasta Town’ Laluni, off the Linden/Soesdyke Highway. At around 10:30 hours one of the woman’s six children received a call from her father saying that her mother was dead and that he had drank poison.
The young lady in the company of other relatives rushed to the house where they followed a trail of blood in the yard which led them to Romascindo’s lifeless body. The man was nowhere to be found.
