With the absence of Davindra Bishoo due to West Indies duties in England along with Test pacer Brandon Bess and left-arm spinner Veerasammy Permaul who are in Barbados at the HPC Academy, defending champions Berbice have still named a strong side for the Guyana Cricket Board’s El Dorado 50 over cricket competition.
Narsingh Deonarine and Royston Crandon are the players with senior West Indies experience in the 14-man squad which also include West Indies ‘A’ team left-hander Assad Fudadin, former West Indies youth pacer Keon Joseph and pugnacious West Indies ‘A’ team T20 batsman Jonathon Foo in their line-up.
Berbice battle the President’s X1 which include former Test batsmen Travis Dowlin and Sewnarine Chattergoon in their opening match of the four-team competition tomorrow at Blairmont while Demerara and Essequibo face-off at Bourda in the other game tomorrow.
The Berbice team read:-Richard Ramdeen, Narsingh Deonarine, Royston Crandon, Jonathan Foo, Rajiv Ivan, Anthony Bramble, Devon Clements, Eugene La Fleur, Steven Latcha, Shawn Perreira, Krisendat Ramoo, Michael Newland, Keon Joseph, Assad Fudadin.
