Dear Editor,
I am writing concerning a letter I saw in your newspaper last week, where the person was blaming drivers for accidents on the roadways.
I personally believe that even though drivers are the ones responsible for the loss of lives and injures, passenger are also responsible for what happens.
Persons fail to realize that they’re the ones in charge since conductors and drivers depend on their money for survival.
Passengers are complaining about drivers being on their phone while driving, conductors overloading mini buses, loud music and other matters that are bothering them while traveling. Instead of standing up for their rights, they sit and hope that police are going to do something about it.
As a passenger, a person has a right to decide if they want to be comfortable or not. When a conductor tells them to “shift down,” they move and then complain about it later instead of saying no.
Persons need to be informed about their rights and stop taking ignorance from those foolish drivers and conductors and stop waiting for the authorities to do something. Tracy Williams
