With Race day just a few days away an unprecedented amount of over 95 horses, which is the largest field to date, have taken entry for the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club and Sports Facilities (RCMTC&SF) and Ansa McAl Trading Guyana Limited Tipple Crown Classic horserace meet set for this Sunday July 17 at the Clubs track, Alness Corentyne Berbice.
Ten events are list for the day and with the total purse set at a mammoth $7M, the cream of the country’s racehorses will be on show. With such massive payments available including trophies no wonder such a large field has taken entry.
The B and lower event sponsored by Ansa McAl Guyana Limited has an extraordinary 13 entries and one of the animals will definitely not be able to compete since the box can only accommodate 12 starters.
The first prize has a sumptuous $1M and trophy up for grabs and a total purse of over $2M and will see the likes of Champtress, The Message, Dubai Dutchess, Miss Republic, Night Crescendo, On the Rock with Salt, Miss Orientate, Zelik, Pinch D Cash, Delmur Gold and new arrivals Grand De Roja, Donut Prince and Exporter battle over 1600M.
The 3yrs old race for West Indies Bred horses, has Irish Girl, Work Force, Swing Easy, Gold Plated, Bridal Stone Corner, Face D Fire, Captain Cook, Peace and Love, Celebration Love and Technology going for the $500,000 winners take also over 1600M.
The F and lower race with a first prize of $500,000 will see the animals competing over a 1200M distance with the likes of Momzele, the Gap, Dubai Dutchess, Got to Go, Pinch the Cash, Pegasus Rising and Miracle Run in the running. Times have Change, Wind The Wall, Red Closed, Rosetta, Serenity and Feels Like Gold are among the entries in the race for the Two Year old West Indies Bred Horse with a winners purse of $450,000 over 1100M.
Those entered for the Guyana Bred Three Year old event are Wicked Intention, Super Cat, Speed Vision, Apostle, J.D Junior, Prince Renukha, Ro Baby and Silent Night for the $400,000 over 1600M.
Two-year old Bred horses Zoom zoom, Third World, Cat and Cheese, Little Tip top, Watch My Shadow, New Time, Mind That Bird, having a Nice Time, Killer Bee, J.D Ann and Sonia Door will be competing for a $400,000 first prize over 950M.
The G and lower even also have a first prize of $400,000. The distance is 1600M. Celebration Time, Pixie Fire, The Gap, Sir Balajie, Air Control, The Bailiff, Ginger Bread, Prado’s Gold, South Sea, Bio Fuel and Pegasus Rising are some of the horses in the running.
The H and lower line up includes Royal Champion, Dream Girl, De Gump, Diplomat, Five Star General, Johnny Roger, Funny Sided and Zebra over 1600M with a first prize of $300,000 on offer.
The ‘I’ class event has the largest line up and among them are Ravi B, Speed Vision, Royal Time, Infinity, Try Again, J.D junior, Extra heat, Savion, Mona Lisa, No Body Knows, Channel Boy, Sun Razor and Black Beauty for the $180,000 winners money over 1400M.
The JK&L (Division 1, 2, 3) event includes Silver Kid, Royal Intention, Great Prospect, War Time El Gato, Go Find One, Find U Money, Baya and No Surprises over 1400M. The winning purse is $150,000.
Outstanding individual performers, including top Jockey, trainer and stable, will be presented with accolades compliments of the Trophy Stall Bourda Market and the Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf Club.
The Ryan Crawford Memorial Turf club is considered one of the fastest and better race tracks in the country and according to the organizers the surface is in the best of condition with a lot remedial work being done over the past weeks.
Race time is 13:00hrs and music will be provided by Slingers International Sound System.
