Truck crushes destitute man at Parika
Police at Parika have detained a truck driver whose vehicle was involved in the death of a destitute man last night.
A police source said that the driver is not likely to face any charges since the destitute man allegedly walked into the path of his truck.
Reports reaching this newspaper stated that the victim was killed on the spot.
The incident occurred around 20:30 hours.
