The Tapeball fever continued after the Opening Ceremony on July 3 at GCC Ground, Bourda, where the opening matches of the Kares T10 Tapeball Tournament were played on July 9. Highly entertaining matches in the male, female, school boys and school girls categories were also played at the Everest Cricket Club, University of Guyana Ground, Cyril Potter College Ground & Min of Education Ground.
Matches of equal caliber were played countrywide where the excitement was equally distributed at various grounds in the Upper & Lower Corentyne, Upper & Lower East Coast Dem, East Bank Dem, Linden, West Bank Dem, West Coast Dem, Essequibo Islands and Essequibo Coast.
A release from the organisers stated, “Sporting fans that missed out on the first weekend of games in this massive Tapeball tournament, fear not as the action continues on July 16 and July 17 and more importantly there will be numerous giveaways for spectators at each location nationwide coming this weekend.”
“Match fixtures for the two days will be published in the July 14 Issue of this Newspaper, so join us as we continue to PLAY FOR GLORY in the Kares Engineering T10 Tapeball Tourney,” the release informed.
