Floodlights donate $100,000 to national cyclist
The Guyana Floodlights Softball Cricket Association (GFSCA) donated $100,000 to Naomi Singh, who is the only female among four cyclists representing Guyana at the International Easter Fest cycling championship next weekend in Trinidad.
This money, which was donated last Friday evening at the GCC ground, Bourda, will go towards her personal expenditure.
Meanwhile the Softball match which was played between Floodlights A & B was won by Floodlights A. Floodlights B batted first, made 202 off 25 overs. Ricky Deonarine 51 and Kemal Seebaran 44 not out were the main scorers. Ramchand Ragbeer all round performance of 30 not out and two vital wickets led Floodlights A to victory, and this earned him the man-of-the-match. He was well supported by Hardat Singh 69 and Bedi Ramjewan 27 not out.
