Walter Grant-Stuart will start as the favourite to win Saturday’s feature schoolboys & invitational 35-lap race when the DeSinco sponsored 11-race cycle meet is staged at the Inner Circuit of the National Park.

The last time the event came off (2008) Alonzo Greaves copped the first place but will have to come good against the red hot Grant-Stuart who hammered a star studded field two Saturdays ago at the same venue to win the main event at the National Sports Commission (NSC) sponsored event which marked the end of the 34th Annual Teach Them Young 8-weekes Coaching Programme conducted by National Coach, Hassan Mohamed MS.
The usual events are carded for Saturday:
BMX Girls 6 to 12 yrs – 1 Lap
BMX Boys 6 to 9 yrs – 2 Laps
BMX Boys 9 to 12 yrs – 3 Laps
BMX Boys 12 to 14 yrs – 3 Laps
BMX Boys Open – 3 Laps
12 to 14 yrs Boys & Girls – 3 Laps
Juveniles – 10 Laps
Upright Cyclists – 5 Laps
Veteran Under – 50 yrs – 5 Laps
Veteran Over – 50 yrs – 5 Laps
School Boys & Invitation – 35 Laps
According to Mohamed, Saturday’s meet is a continuation of the Teach Them Young calendar which will continue for the remainder of the year.
Representatives of sponsor DeSinco Trading will be present to assist with the distribution of prizes to the winners and other top performers.
