Former Regma Primary School student Noel Massiah is aiming to blister the athletic track after taking up residence in Canada since January 2009.
Massiah, now a Grade 6 student of JG Workman Public School in Scarborough, Canada is making a name for himself as a 400m athlete.
He clocked 1 minute 4 seconds to win gold in the finals of the Toronto District School Board, City Wide Track & Field meet held at the Birchmount Stadium, Scarborough.
The former Kara Kara, Linden resident who won, says he is aiming to improve in his athletics quest and eventually win a scholarship in the future.
His mother Colleen, she is very heartened by the strides Noel has been making and will soon be joining a club to improve his ability. “We will give him all the support and encouragement he needs to excel.”
