Giftland Office Max has made its debut as a sponsor of the Hugh Ross Classic Bodybuilding & Fitness Show when they formally handed over their contribution to the organisers yesterday at their 13 ‘A’ Water & Holmes Streets South Cummingsburg Store.
Marketing Manager Compton Babb said the store, which has a department that sells gym equipment among many others, was pleased to be playing its part in such a prominent event.
“This is our first time and we know that it will be successful and we intend to maintain support of the Classic. It is no secret, our commitment to sports and its development in Guyana and this company will continue to maintain this trend.”
Athletes Coordinator of the HRC Leroy George expressed thanks to Babb and Giftland Office Max for flexing muscles with the organization for the Classic which will be held on Sunday May 2, 2010 at the National Cultural Centre with competition beginning at 19:00hrs.
An exhibition with products and services offered by the many sponsors of the Classic will commence at 17:30hrs. A number of novelty events sponsored by GT&T Cellink will also take place before the start of the show including a number of giveaways. Tickets for the event are on sale at the National Cultural Centre.
Meanwhile, the HRC Committee’s organised Fitness Walk, sponsored by GT&T and Banks DIH Limited is set for tomorrow around the outer circuit of the National Park starting at 06:30hrs. The Honorable Ministers of Sport and Health Dr. Frank Anthony and Dr. Leslie Ramsammy will be in attendance.
