Several teams record victories as Round 1 action heats up
Several teams recorded victories when play in the Rockaway Auto Sales 10/10 Softball cricket tournament got underway with first round action last weekend on the East Coast of Demerara.
In results from the matches played;
Rockaway Auto Sales team beat Renegade by 9 wickets.
Renegade XI 45 all out off 10 overs (T. Ramoutar 18 not out; Kumar Bishundial 4 for 6 off 2 overs including a hat-trick)
Rockaway in reply 46 for 1 off 5 overs (Mahendra Persaud 21; A. Persaud 1 for 14 off 2 overs)
Young Guns overcame Markers by 5 wickets.
Makers XI 77 all out off 10 overs (Leon 38 not out; Roy 3 for 10 off 2 overs) Young Guns 78 for 5 off 8 overs (Hakeem Ali 23 not out; Sattaur 1 for 7 off 1 over).
Trophy Stall ‘B’ strolled by Enmore by 7 wickets.
Enmore 79 all out off 10 overs (Wazier Majid 16; Ricky Singh 2 for 5 off 2 overs)

El Commandante Auto Sales registered a 42 run triumph over Franchise.

Strathspey got past Young Warriors by 20 runs.

Trophy Stall recorded a massive 71 run triumph over Miracle Optical. Trophy Stall powered to an imposing 156 for 3 off 10 overs. Miracle Optical fell well short at 85 for 6 off 10 overs. For Trophy Stall Dindyal Lakhan took 2 for 18 off 2 overs.
Sandust XI won by 37 runs over Gopaul Mandir.
