The Guyana team that attended the IBM International Tennis Tournament in Trinidad and Tobago performed creditably.
Girls 18s

In the qualifying rounds, Aruna Ramrattan lost to Jenice Ayuen (Barbados) 6-2/7-5, Krystal Sukra lost to Liza Davis (USA) 6-0/6-3. Ramrattan and Sukra then lost their doubles encounter 6-0/6-0.
Boys 14s

Gavin Lewis succeeded against the odds to win two out of three matches in the qualifying round, winning against Dwayne Drakes (Trinidad) 4-0/4-1 and Curtis Da Silva (Trinidad) 4-2/ 5-4 (12/10) but lost to Elan Mendes 5-3/4-1(Trinidad). He was able to gain a spot in the main draw, but lost in the first round to Ty Abrams (Trinidad) 6-2/6-0.
Judah Stephney won 1 match by w/o and also lost twice to Ty Abrams (Trinidad) 4-0/4-0 and 4-1/2-4/5-4 in the qualifier.
Benedict Sukra in the qualifying round won 1 and lost 2. He won against Juanaldo Greig (Trinidad) 4-2/4-0 and lost 4-0/4-0 to Ross Hacshaw (Trinidad) and Gavin Hutchson (Barbados) 4-1/4-0. He subsequently lost to Ryan Thomas 4-0/4-0 and Judah lost 4-1/4-0 to Aaron Soo-Ping Chow in the consolation.
Girls 14s

Nicola Ramdyhan in the qualifying won 2 and lost 1, the wins were against Chenice Fenty (Barbados) 4-0/5-3 and Sinead Aleung (Trinidad) 4-2/4-0 and the loss was to Olivia Johnson(Trinidad) 4-0/4-1. She made it to the main draw, but also lost in the first round to St. Lucia #1 player Julia D’Auvergne 6-1/6-0.
The tournament was attended by 63 Players from 24 territories.
