Head of the Holland’s Enterprise Promotions, Carwyn Holland has committed to donate some of the profits accrued from his boxing card slated for the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall (CASH) on January 29 to offset the suffering of the Haitians affected by an earthquake that rocked that nation leaving a trail of death and destruction in its wake.
Holland made this commitment shortly after receiving a cheque from Managing Director of Fitness Express, Jamie McDonald at that organization’s business place, 47 Sheriff Street, Campbellville.
Upon handing over the cheque, Mr. McDonald explained that Fitness Express has only recently opened its doors to the public. He said that management has recognized the need to support the card in keeping with its corporate responsibility of promoting local talent. The executive further expressed delight at Holland’s humanitarian gesture. His donation will go towards the purse of one of the preliminary bouts.
The Managing Director expressed pleasure at supporting the card and urged other businesses to emulate his gesture. Holland thanked Mr. McDonald for his corporate spirit even as he empathized with the Haitians. He said that boxers and other sportspersons are among the dead and injured and he feels compelled to contribute to the rebuilding process.
Fitness express caters for the health and nutritional needs of the sports community and supplies nutritional supplements, vitamins and fitness accessories among other products.
