Guyana Draughts Association to be launched on Saturday
The recently elected Guyana Draughts Association (GDA) will be officially launched as Guyana’s newest Sport on Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall from 10:00hrs.
Director of Sports Neil Kumar will deliver the feature address after the executive body which will be mandated to run the affairs draughts in Guyana is introduced to the public. A Steering Committee presently administers the sport in Guyana after the inaugural national drafts competition was held at the Guyana National Stadium last year August.
The Steering Committee will be officially dissolved on Saturday when the GDA executive body is announced.
All draughts players and interested persons are asked to attend Saturday’s launching and to be seated by 10:00hrs. For further information please call Jairam at 614-6671.
