Mrs. Jacqueline Graham receives her award from Mr. Ralph Ramkarran
The Cameron and Shepherd Prize for the best graduating Guyanese student of the Hugh Wooding Law School for 2009 in Civil Procedure 1 and 2 over the two-year course for the Legal Education Certificate was won by Mrs. Jacqueline Graham, who was recently admitted to practice.
In presenting the Book Prize on Thursday December 4 Mr. Ralph Ramkarran SC, Senior Partner of Cameron and Shepherd, congratulated Mrs. Graham on winning the coveted prize and also on her distinguished performance at the examination for the Legal Education Certificate and her call to the Bar.
Mrs. Graham’s choice of the Law of Contract from the Common Law Library did not escape his notice.
Mr. Ramkarran noted that apart from the value of the work in identifying the rights and remedies of clients, it is one of the most useful work to assist in day to day practice.
He expressed best wishes to Mrs. Graham on behalf of the staff and partners of Cameron and Shepherd, Ms. Josephine Whitehead, Rafiq Khan, Nikhil Ramkarran and Kamal Ramkarran.
Mrs. Graham thanked Cameron and Shepherd for the prize and the books. She said that just as she was determined to succeed in her studies she is determined to succeed in her new endeavours and it was with this in mind that she chose the books on the Law of Contract.
