Let’s continue to move Fair’s Rust, Linden forward

Dear Editor,
I seek to bring awareness and share information that is vital to our community development in Fair’s Rust, Linden.
Fair’s Rust Community Development Council (FRCDC) is raising funds to finance the cleaning of its play field and as such we are reaching out to members of the public.
FRCDC is making a special effort to reach past residences, those who reside locally and oversees and still have connection with home and even those who may not have lived in Fair’s Rust, but have enjoyed the benefits of the play field.
FRCDC believes that charity begins at home and as such your support is necessary, further, a proactive approach is necessary and we are taking the first step.
They are other projects under our radar such as Chicken rearing and erecting a building on the play field which will have a small shop for sustainability purposes, but we wish to start with a project that is achievable within a short time period. These projects are under discussion; and they are others that we have applied for in Fair’s Rust through the Ministry of Local Government and Regional Development, which is dependent on the ministries approval.
They are not enough Greek adjectives to under score the importance of these projects.
Fair’s Rust CDC is well aware that the road ahead may have a few bumps, but we realise that even when a road is smooth, bumps could appear, but having the right tools and resources make the job easier. We have 35 registered members of which eight make up a competent executive body. Fair’s Rust CDC came into being under the laws of Guyana in June 2009.Prior to this it had a body functioning since October 2008.
Finally, a few names must be mentioned for their past support: Mr. Rawle Blair, Mr. Wayne Bethune, Mr. Benard Blair, Mr. Lyndon Smith, Mr. Paul Chin, Mr. Greg Charles, Mrs. Philomena Sahoye-Shury CCH,MP, JP – (National Director of CDCs) and the late Mr. Kenrick Moore.
Recently we have received support from Mr. Alex Saunders and Miss Yvonne Dodson, both are US-based.

Our motto is “Together we move forward”. One and all, let’s continue to move Fair’s Rust forward.
