Defending overall Schools’ Athletics, Cycling and Swimming champions, Upper Demerara will begin the Final Day of the event today with a 28-point lead over hosts, Corentyne while North Georgetown has slipped to third in the competition.
Upper Demerara are currently poised on 304 points while Corentyne has 288 points and North Georgetown 276 points for the second and third spots respectively after the completion of some 73 finals at the Albion Community Centre Ground.
New Amsterdam has the next best mark with 216 points with West Demerara on 213 points to complete the top five.
The teams that are outside the top five are Rupununi in sixth on 201 points; West Coast Berbice in seventh on 199 points; Bartica in eight on 191 points; Essequibo Coast in ninth on 187 points and East Coast rounding off the top ten on 185 points.
East Georgetown is in 11th on 163 points; South Georgetown 12th on 144 points; North West 13th on 155 points; East Bank Demerara in 14th on 76 point; Potaro in 15th on 61 points and Essequibo Islands rounding off the competing teams on 34 points.
The competition resumes today with the final set of events.
