Bishop’s Alpha & Millington’s BK Int. Western Tigers to collide

Fans could not have bargained for a better match-up to climax the 6th Mackeson English/Kashif & Shanghai Futsal competition which will come to an anticipated electrifying end tomorrow evening at the Cliff Anderson Sports.
Weeks of riveting battles will end tomorrow and the pundits have been having a torrid time predicting who will walk away with the top prize of $500,000, the beautiful Mackeson trophy and bragging rights.
The destructive Devon Millington will spearhead The Tigers’ bid to lift the top prize and will find able support from Philip Rowley and Colin Nelson who all sparked in their teams thrilling 7-4 win over Uprising in their semi-final clash.
Alpha on the other hand, made light work of former Futsal champions Flamingo 6-0 in their semi and will fancy their chances of taming the Tigers come tomorrow evening.
Their quest in this regard will be led by their top player in this version of the game, Shawn Bishop who will team up with the equally lethal Andrew Murray, Ronson Williams and Leon Grumble.
A gripping encounter is anticipated and fans are in for a treat as sponsors Ansa McAl Trading has promised that there will be lots of giveaways.
Flamingo and Uprising will square off in the third place game prior to the main event while the final of the Exhibition Competition will see Banks DIH clashing with Albouystown.
A total of 32 teams commenced the tournament which was played using the knock-out format from game one.
Co-promoters Kashif Muhammad and Frank ‘English’ Parris have said that fans can look forward to an evening of entertainment never seen in the Futsal realms and are urging them to come out in their numbers in order not to miss out. Kick of time is 19:30hrs.
