Police are probing the torching of a small Kaneville house that some residents claim was a part-time hideout for suspects in the execution-style killing of Brendon Charles.
The shack, located at First Street, Second Field Kaneville, went up in flames around 22:00 hrs on Sunday. It was unoccupied at the time. However, Kaieteur News was told that three youths, considered to be suspects in the murder of Brendon Charles, often slept there.
Police believe that the men are now hiding out in Agricola and have been conducting daily searches there. A Kaneville resident said that he was at home around 22:00 hrs when he observed the shack on fire.
The resident said that a fire tender eventually arrived but by then the building had already been destroyed.
Brendon Charles is one of three brothers who have been slain in a prolonged feud between rival gangs.
