Man charged with murdering mom
Ravindra Siew, 33, of Enterprise, East Coast Demerara, was remanded to prison yesterday after being charged with the beating to death of his 55-year-old mother.
He appeared before Magistrate Sherdel Issacs-Marcus at the Vigilance Magistrate Court.
Siew allegedly administered the fatal beating on his mother, Ramrattie Deonauth, on July 19, 2009.
Government pathologist, Dr. Nehaul Singh, gave the cause of death as multiple fractures to the rib.
The accused is to return on October 29, 2009.
