Deion Lane, 27, has been charged in connection with the shooting earlier this month in Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, of 17-year-old taxi service dispatcher, Emmett Hinds.
Police said that Lane, of Joseph Pollydore Street, Lodge, was remanded to prison on Wednesday after he was charged with robbery under arms and discharging a loaded firearm.
Hinds, a dispatcher employed by C and J Express Taxi Service, was sitting in a car with the driver, Roysdale Sutton, on April 23, when two men approached the vehicle and held Sutton at gunpoint.
Sutton was relieved of a gold band, ring and $8,000.
The bandit with the gun then shot Hinds in the neck before fleeing with his accomplice.
Lane is scheduled to return to court on May 18.
Hinds is still hospitalised.
