A team of officials led by President Bharrat Jagdeo is currently in the Middle East to explore possibilities for strengthening relations and expanding cooperation programmes in the economic, social and cultural fields.
The President and his team will visit Libya, Greece and Dubai, among others.
President Jagdeo will also engage in discussions on matters of mutual interest and common concern on the current international agenda.
The Head of State is accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Carolyn Rodrigues-Birkett; Minister of Tourism, Industry and Commerce, Manniram Prashad; Presidential Envoy to the Middle East and Greece, Ambassador George Hallaq; and President of the Central Islamic Organization of Guyana, Fazeel Ferouz.
