Dear Editor,
I watch with growing horror as Israel blockaded Gaza, denying its 1.5 million inhabitants the most basic supplies.
They proceeded to bomb them, killing over 400 civilians, then invaded the territory causing more death, destruction and suffering and now attacking schools being used as shelters under the UN flag. All this amid a deafening silence from regional governments. I call on the President Jagdeo administration to take a public position in condemnation of this massacre immediately. At the very least our Consular Representative should be recalled for consultations. Mark DaCosta
