Byron Lee is now dead
Byron Lee, the founder of the Dragonaires died shortly after noon yesterday. His wife, in a telephone conversation with Kaieteur News, confirmed his death.
Lee had been battling cancer and in the last days was confined to a bed in a Kingston hospital. While there he received the Order of Jamaica for his contribution to the music scene.
Details of his funeral are to be announced later.
