It was more of a dress rehearsal for this Sunday’s semi-finals as all four teams that contested last Sunday’s round of matches in the Plaisance Inter-Block Football Tournament made it to the last four following two exciting encounter at the Community Centre ground.
In the opening fixture of the double-header, Zekel Rodney’s equalizer in the 3rd minute of overtime ensured that Front Side squeeze a 1-1 draw against 110 whose goal came off the boots of Narku Durant in the 20th minute of play.
In the feature clash, Scheme defeated Goedverwagting 4-3 on penalty kicks which was required after regulation time failed to separate the teams.
Veteran Gavin Huntley gained a late equalizer for Scheme which came one minute before full time. Earlier, Quincy Collymore had given Goedverwagting the lead in the 47th minute.
The semi-final match-ups are as follows: 110 will tackle Goedverwagting in the feature game from 16:00 hrs, while Front Side battle against Scheme at 14: 00 hrs.
