DEAR EDITOR,
Thank you for publishing my last letter about water cut-off time on the East Coast. Please allow me to do a follow-up.
It was refreshing to see that GWI took notice of my letter and actually acted upon it. Thank you at GWI for doing so; it’s not often we can see that.
But, I want to bring you up to date on what has happened since Monday, 30th June, a period of cut supply between 11:00hrs and 14:00hrs; and then termination again at 19:50hrs.
Tuesday 1st July — same cut supply, between 11:00hrs and 14:00hrs. This time termination occurred at 19:35hrs.
Yesterday, 2nd July, supply was cut between 11:00hrs and 14:00hrs. Termination came at 19:20hrs. It seems like the game has started again. Please, GWI, I would appreciate if you can tell us, somehow, what exactly the schedule is supposed to be, and stick to that, because at this rate, at the end of the month, we’ll stop getting water after 11:00hrs every day.
I wonder, though, if this may be the ultimate objective but GWI is trying to break it gently to us. That last bit was in jest, GWI. I can work with a schedule. I don’t care what it is, but at least let it be stable, please. N. Jodhan
