The role and functions of the Police Complaints Authority (PCA) will be highlighted when its Chairman, Justice Cecil Kennard, visits the Region Seven district of Bartica during the coming weekend.
According to a release, the Chairman will be in the area from Friday May 23 to Sunday May 25.
While there Justice Kennard will meet with members of the Police Force at the Bartica Police Station to explain his role and functions and to discuss with them matters which are of concern to him.
He will also appear on a television station.
Justice Kennard will also grace the boardroom of the Regional Democratic Council at Bartica on Saturday to receive complaints from members of the public as it relates to police assaults, harassments and concerns about police operations.
Other scheduled visits, according to the release, are slated for Linden, Port Kaituma and Mabaruma.
