North-west ferry tragedy… 67 of 133 rescued
MV Barima
Kaieteur News – Sixty-seven persons have now been rescued, approximately seven hours after the MV Barima issued a distress call at around 11:01 p.m. on Saturday. A total of 116 passengers and 17 crew members were onboard when the vessel capsized.
Search and rescue efforts remain ongoing as teams continue to search for the remaining passengers and crew.
