Fire destroys Home Zone’s employees living quarters
(Kaieteur News) – A fire of unknown origin destroyed the living quarters of employees attached to Home Zone at Little Diamond, East Bank Demerara (EBD).

According to the Guyana Fire Service (GFS), firefighters from the Diamond and Eccles Fire Stations responded promptly and immediately commenced firefighting operations upon arrival.
“Through their swift and coordinated efforts, the blaze was successfully contained to a single building, preventing it from spreading to nearby structures.
Investigations are currently underway to determine the cause of the fire,” the GFS said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.
The Fire Service reminded members of the public to remain vigilant and to report fires and other emergencies immediately by calling 912.
