Kaieteur Sports – The Odyssey Sightseeing Tours T20 Competition recently continued with crucial victories being obtained by several teams.

At Uivtught, Goed Fortuin won against Leonora by 6 wickets. Batting first, Leonora made 128 all out in 18.4 overs. Micheal Subadar top scored with 45 as Shazam Ally supported with 17 while bowling for Goed Fortuin was led by Chaitram Rajroop with 5 for 5 in 3.4 overs while Fawaz Esau supported with 2 for 11.

Goed Fortuin responded with 129 for 4 in 17 overs. Aaron Shewpersaud continued his impressive form with 55 while Damain Thomas supported with 43 as Deopersaud Lalta bagged 2 for 38.

In another showdown, West Coast Warriors (WCW) scored a 35-run win against La Grange. Batting first, WCW made 154 for 8 in the 20 overs. La Grange were only able to muster 118 for 9 at the end of their allotted overs.

At West Meten Meer Zorg Community Centre Ground, VNS Cricket Club won against Leonora B. Batting First , Leonora B made 154 all out from the 20 overs thanks to a solid stand from Mahendra Singh (50) as Mohan Chaitram (2-13), Mohamed Wazidali (3-16) and Satish Diaram (2-28) did well with the ball for VNS.

VNS responded with 156 for 2 in 14.2 overs as Safraz Khan (40) and Ricardo Joseph (35) led the chase. Windsor Forest Viper then scored a 27-run win against VNS in the second match of the tournament.

Batting first, Windsor Forest Viper posted 130 for 6 in the allotted 20 overs and restricted the opposition to VNS all out for 103 in 18.2 overs.

Ushadavera Balgobin scored an entertaining 120 against the host, West Meten Meer Zorg, as Windsor Forest Center scored 201 – 9 in the 20 overs.

The host, badly missing the service of Pameshwar Ram due to Demerara under 19 duties, could only muster 82 all out from 16 overs. Bowling for the eventual winner, Parmanand Suknanan bagged 2 for 1, Kishaun Tracy claimed 2 for 9, Lalta Suknanan snared 2 for 11 and Raylex Payne recorded 2 for 38.

Meanwhile, Zeelught Cricket Club gained a walkover from West Demerara Renegades, while Region 3 Police gained a walkover from Cornelia Ida.
