(Kaieteur News) – With the aim of opening a store front location, young entrepreneur Sabrina Johnson makes fresh locally produced fruit juices on demand. The 24-year-old is the proud owner of ‘Sabrina’s Tropical Blend’, a small business she started about three years ago.
Johnson recently went viral on the social media platform Tik Tok, for riding her bicycle, decked out in her business cap and t-shirt with her cooler selling her natural juices.

The Young Guyanese Venezuelan entrepreneur Sabrina Johnson went viral for riding and selling tropical juices.
Originally from Venezuela but residing currently in Ann’s Grove, East Coast Demerara, the young entrepreneur in a recent interview with The Waterfalls said that viral moment was sort of the turning point that garnered her business a lot of attraction and support.
Speaking about what inspired her to start the business in the first place; Johnson recalled that while growing up in Venezuela, she really loved a strawberry juice, a family used to make. She noted that it is with that love and passion for locally made juices that she decided to start ‘Sabrina’s Tropical Blend’.
“I was also inspired by a Christian family; they made the Strawberry drink (Pink paradise) and I liked it so bad I wanted to start making it to sell as well,” she shared.
Before launching her business, Sabrina said she used to work at different jobs and would save her earnings which she would use to invest to get the materials needed to kick start her journey.
She said she started off with not only juices but sandwiches and other foods to sell. According to the young woman, back then business was slow. She used to put out a stand but had to move several times because of not having designated location to sell.
This, Johnson said resulted in her doing the business part time until she went viral for riding her bike and selling.
“One of the challenges was looking for an affordable location in the town area but it was so hard to get because of the high cost for rent. So I used the bike. It made me go viral…,” she related. That moment she said, riding through the streets and delivering to customers grabbed a lot of attention. She shared that since then, she has been receiving support and follower from so many people across the world, including countries like the United States, Trinidad, Suriname, Canada, and Jamaica just to name a few.
“It means a lot to me,” Johnson said because the business is picking up and more and more customers are reaching out.
Johnson noted, “I also received negative comments from people close to me that told me that is not carrying me anywhere; I just kept going no matter what they said.”
Working hard to continue to supply her customers, Johnson explained to this publication that her long-term goal is to get a location of her own. Also she mentioned, she hopes to have juices, “reach the countries that asked for my juices.”
“To be so good in what I do so I can hire people to work with me and to take it worldwide if it’s possible; everything is possible. My goal is to reach as much people I can,” she added.
Already making a meaningful impact in society, our featured entrepreneur is of the view that young entrepreneurs introduce new ideas and innovation which helps strengthen the local economy.
“Young entrepreneurs play an important role in society because we bring new ideas, innovation, and energy. We create opportunities not only for ourselves but also for others, and we help strengthen the local economy,” she said.
That being said, Johnson suggested that to boost small businesses locally, there should be easier access to funding and more community support to buy local products.
“When communities support small businesses, everyone benefits,” she mentioned.
