2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup…
Kaieteur Sports – West Indies will commence their campaign in the 2026 ICC Men’s Under-19 World Cup, with an important opening round encounter versus Tanzania, with action bowling off from January 15.

Guyanese Johnathan Van Lange and Shamar Apple will be preparing to show their skills on the world stage in a few days time.
Teams assembled recently as they prepare for 50-Over action across host nations Zimbabwe and Namibia, with the Joshua Dorne-led Windies side seeking to win their first encounter against one of the home-team countries.
Prior to the departure, both skipper Dorne and his deputy, Guyanese Johnathan Van Lange said the team was brimming with confidence heading into the Cup.
Van Lange, one of the key players in the side with bat and ball, said he personally hopes to make full use of his time on the big stage to further showcase his skills; as they seek to win this year’s title.
Another Guyanese on show is all-rounder Shamar Apple, who was drafted to the squad. The highly-talented utility player will add tons of flexibility to the squad, with his power-hitting and quick scoring, adding to his team’s already stacked cache.
The Windies will look to hold down Group D which features South Africa, Afghanistan and Tanzania, with their Games being played exclusively at the High-Performance Oval in Windhoek, Namibia.
Meanwhile, the West Indies will play their second match against the young Afghans on January 18.
