(Kaieteur News) – Minibus operator, Martin Hunte was on Wednesday sentenced to 12 months in prison after he was charged with dangerous driving involving an 11-year-old student from Kitty, Georgetown.
The 38-year-old made his court appearance at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Shivani Lalaram where the charge was read to him.
The police reported that the incident occurred on December 10, 2025, at approximately 18:45 hours on the Public Road at Kitty.
Hunte pleaded guilty and was subsequently sentenced.
