(Kaieteur News) – Linden business man Amar Jones was gunned down Tuesday afternoon at his home hours after another man from neighbouring Bamia was killed in similar fashion.
Jones, according to reports was executed by two masked gunmen.
Reacting to the killings, Regional Councillor, Mark Goring said “we are shocked and saddened by the tragic loss of two young lives, Amar Jones and Dion Ramdyhan in Linden within a span of 12 hours. Our heartfelt condolences go out to their families, friends, and loved ones. This senseless violence is unacceptable and demands immediate attention and action from our law enforcement and policy makers.” Goring who is tipped to be the chairman of Region 10 said the recent incidents in Linden, highlight the urgent need for change and a safer community. “We echo the call for reelection and action to address the root causes of this violence and ensure justice for the victims and their families.”
