(Kaieteur News) – Six motorcycle bandits snatched a backpack containing a cell phone and money from a bond clerk at Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) on Friday night, police said.
According to a police statement, “the victim was walking toward her home when she was approached by three motorcycles carrying six males, when one of the pillion riders reportedly snatched her bag containing a cellphone and a sum of Guyana Currency, after which they made good their escape.”
The incident occurred at about 20:05h at Red Road, Providence, EBD.
Police are reviewing Closed Circuit Televisions (CCTV) in the area with the hope of securing leads.
