(Kaieteur News) – Police are investigating an alleged offence of Larceny by Clerk or Servant valued at $153.9M committed on a telecommunications company allegedly by 37-year-old, Quincy Baird called Q-man of Herstelling, East Bank Demerara. The act is reported to have occurred between July 1, 2021 and February 18, 2025.
On Tuesday December 23, 2025 about 16:33hrs, ranks from the Criminal Investigation Department Headquarters conducted an operation on the East Bank Demerara where a male was contacted in relation to the allegation. He was informed of the allegation, arrested and escorted to CID Headquarters where he remains in custody pending investigation. Investigations continue.
