(Kaieteur News) – On Friday November 14th, 2025, a student Of the Uitvlugt Primary School was bullied by one of his classmates during lunch time and was left with a deep cut to the tongue.
When the parents of six-year-old, Demetri Morrison received a phone call from his class teacher and the parents arrived at the school to find their son in this unattended state no help from the teachers.
According to facebook post made by Christina Seeraj, the mother of the 6 years old Demetri, when she returned to the Uitvlugt Primary School on Monday morning with her son seeking answers. She noted that “there was no justice for the Headteacher of Uitvlugt Primary School. My son received 18 Stitches from West Demerara Regional Hospital On Friday.”
“I’m calling on the Ministry of Education and on the President to look into this matter. My son is still a baby and I’m pleading for justice,” the woman said in her post. (Source: Christina Seeraj Facebook)
