Five arrested after cocaine found in South Ruimveldt house
The cocaine seized by CANU
(Kaieteur News) – Five persons were arrested on Wednesday after officers of the Customs Anti-narcotics Unity (CANU) found several parcels of cocaine at a residence located in Home Place, South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown.
According to CANU, ranks acting on information conducted an operation at the South Ruimveldt location where they discovered the parcels with a “whitish powdery substance suspected to be cocaine.”
“Five (5) suspects were arrested and escorted to CANU Headquarters, along with the suspected narcotic, which tested positive for cocaine and weighed a total of 5.970 kilograms,” CANU said.
Investigations are ongoing.
