(Kaieteur News) – A 43-year-old gold miner of Perserverance Housing Scheme, Providence, East Bank Demerara (EBD) was on Tuesday remanded to prison on a possession of narcotics charge.
The accused, Colin Hubert Coddette, appeared at the Lethem Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate O Chandan where the charges were read to him.
He pleaded not guilty to two charges of possession of narcotics for the purpose of trafficking contrary to section 5 (1) (a) (i) of the Narcotics Drug and Psychotropic Substances (Control) Act Chapter 10:10.
Coddette was arrested on October 19.
The matter has been adjourned to November 27, 2025.
