Raja Pooran excited to play in Pakistan at inaugural Over-40 World Cup
(Kaieteur Sports) – Former Guyana youth player Raja Pooran is excited to play in Pakistan at the forthcoming, inaugural Over-40 T20 World Cup.

Pooran will be representing Cricket West Indies Masters team which will be captained by former Guyana and West Indies batsman Narsingh Deonarine.
Pooran, an all-rounder, stated that he looking forward to make a big impact with both bat and ball.
“I [am] delighted to be selected to represent the Caribbean side at a world stage event; I really excited to be there and to help my team win the tournament,” Pooran mentioned.
Another ex-Guyana and West Indies player Mahendra Nagamootoo is also in the lineup for the ten-day tournament which will have twelve teams vying for supremacy.
Royston Crandon will be another player with International experience having worn the maroon colours too.
West Indies will open their campaign against Canada when the action bowls off November 21 in Group 1.
The final is slated for December 1st. All matches to be played in Karachi.
Group 1: West Indies, Pakistan, Canada, South Africa, Hong Kong and United Arab Emirates.
Group 2: Australia, Sri Lanka, Zimbabwe, USA, Saudi Arabia and a Rest of the World X1.
The full 18-member squad includes: Narsingh Deonarine, Mahendra Nagamootoo, Randy Ramanan, Raja Amit Pooran, Devindra Maharaj, Royston Crandon, Lawrence Farnum, Joel Leacock, Larry Babb, Vishan Lall, Asif Chan, Antonnel Atwell, Reno Mittleholzer, Mohan Chatram, Richard Latif, Devon Clements, Hemraj Garbarran, and Zamin Amin.
