(Kaieteur Sports) – The Guyana Football Federation (GFF)–Blue Water Shipping Under-15 Girls’ Secondary School Football Championship continues to serve as a crucial platform for the development of young female footballers across the country. Backed by FIFA’s Football for Schools (F4S) programme, and with support from Blue Water Shipping, the competition showcases emerging talent while reinforcing the GFF’s commitment to growing girls’ and women’s football nationwide.
Resuming just two weeks ago, the tournament is already heating up, with President’s College and Bush Lot Secondary securing their spots in the quarterfinals after finishing in the top two positions of Group A.

Action unfolded at the #5 Ground on the West Coast of Berbice, where fans were treated to six exciting matchups featuring President’s College, Bush Lot Secondary, Canje Secondary, and New Campbellville Secondary.
Bush Lot Secondary kicked off the day with a 2–0 win over Canje Secondary, thanks to a brace from in-form striker Ashanti Scott. In the following fixture, President’s College made a statement with a commanding 7–0 victory over New Campbellville Secondary. Goals came from Shermel Blake (2), Reyana Gounga (2), Kimora Edwards (2), and an own goal.
President’s College then raised the bar even further, dismantling Canje Secondary 12–0. Kimora Edwards was unstoppable, netting six goals, while Gounga (3), Blake (1), Neisa Lewis (1), and Nalini LaRose (1) added to the tally in a dominant team display.
Bush Lot Secondary also remained consistent, defeating New Campbellville Secondary 2–0, once again with both goals from Ashanti Scott. Canje Secondary later picked up their first win of the tournament, overcoming New Campbellville 2–0 with goals from LaToya Williams and Kishanna Fyffe.
In the day’s final match, President’s College wrapped up their group stage campaign in style with a 9–0 rout of Bush Lot Secondary. Hat-tricks from Blake and Gounga, along with goals from Luiza Pugsley, LaRose, and Lewis, secured a flawless record for the East Coast side.
At the end of the day’s action, President’s College topped Group A, followed by Bush Lot Secondary in second place. Both teams now advance to the quarterfinal round of the national championship.
With more matches ahead, the GFF-Blue Water U15 Girls’ Championship continues to shine a spotlight on the rising stars of local football and the promising future of the women’s game in Guyana.
