Truck slams into car at Montrose
Scene of accident along the East Coast Public Road, involving trailer truck and car
Kaieteur News – A serious accident occurred along the East Coast Demerara Public Road at Montrose, in which a car collided with a truck, sending both vehicles crashing into the highway median.
The driver of the car was pinned inside the vehicle but escaped with only minor scratches.
Details surrounding the identities of the drivers involved remain unknown at this time. However, Kaieteur News understands that no one was seriously harmed in the incident.
CCTV footage of the crash shows the car traveling eastbound in the left lane when the driver attempted to turn. At that moment, a trailer truck collided with the vehicle, pushing it onto the concrete median and into a light pole.
Following the crash, the driver of the car was trapped inside. He was later rescued with the help of public-spirited citizens and was able to walk away from the scene with only few injuries.
