Kaieteur News – A 22-year-old man was killed on Wednesday by a speeding lorry at Supply, East Bank Demerara (EBD) two weeks after his wedding.
Kaieteur News confirmed the dead man as Alex Persaud, of Timehri Base Road, EBD.
Police said the driver of the lorry fled the scene and is currently on the run, as the investigation is ongoing.
Persaud recently married to his wife Selina Lumelino, on July 27, 2025.
