Kaieteur News – The bullet-riddled body of a taxi driver was found on Thursday inside a drain at Victory Valley, Wismar Linden, Region Ten.
Police identified the dead man as Ron Clarke, 30, of William Street, Kitty, Georgetown and 76 Wisroc Housing Scheme, Linden.
His remains were reportedly found around 19:15 hrs.
A teen construction worker was reportedly walking along a street in Victory Valley when he saw Clarke motionless in the drain.
He immediately alerted persons in the area who removed the man’s motionless body from the drain. Clarke was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was pronounced dead.
An examination of his body revealed that he was shot several times.
Five gunshot wounds were seen to his right arm, another two were seen to his groin, one to his right hip and six to his right thigh.
A warhead was also found stuck in his brief.
Police were called and they subsequently visited the location where Clarke’s bullet-ridden body was found.
Police reported that one pair of blood stained black and white Adidas slippers along with some 9MM spent shells were seen on the southern side of the street where the body was found.
Several persons have been questioned as investigations continue.
