Fisherman remanded for robbery with violence
Accused Suraj Isaac
Kaieteur News – A 20-year-old fisherman, on Friday, was remanded to prison after pleading not guilty to robbery with violence charge.
The accused, Suraj Isaac called ‘Nicholas’ of Mon Repos, East Coast Demerara (ECD), appeared at the Sparendaam Magistrates’ Court before Magistrate Abigail Gibbs who read the charge.
It is alleged that Isaac committed the offence on Vannie Jagmohan, a 47-year-old businesswoman at Plantain Walk, Triumph, ECD, on June 16, 2025.
Magistrate Gibbs denied Isaac bail and the matter was adjourned for July 31, 2025.
